To change the world is something pretty big to think about. But when we were asked what we wish we could change, I knew instantly. Abuse is a soft spot for me, and it's one thing I want to stop more than anything.
In one math class of mine, the teacher asked us to describe how Pi, 3.14, came to be in our own stories.
In my other math class she gave us the Cylinder Conundrum activity to do and told us to figure out if they really would be the same, which they wouldn't. |
My senior year of high school I started my first year of college at Colorado Mountain College. My first semester, I took an English Composition class and an Environmental Ethics class. Classes went very well for me and my first college experience was a good one. The teachers I had were helpful, and the other students were friendly. At the end of my first semester, and first finals, I finished both classes with great grades. In my English Composition class I had an. And in my Environmental Ethics class I got an. Being able to take these college courses while still in high school was a substantial head start for me. Being given that opportunity was huge and it let me go beyond what was at Yampah. It allowed me to expand to new experiences. It also led me to a gateway to get a good start on my life after high school.

For my second semester, I only took a College Biology class. For the most part of that class it was kind of a refreshment for me so it was easy to follow along. Again, the teacher was great and helpful, as well as my other classmates. At the end of my second semester, and second finals, I ended my College Biology class with an A-.
